INC Writers

About the Independent Network of Creative Writers

INC Writers was founded by author Becky Muth with a simple goal: to create the kind of writing community many authors wish they had found sooner.

Writing can be rewarding, exciting, frustrating, isolating, and deeply personal—sometimes all in the same week. Too often, writers find themselves stuck between spaces that feel overly competitive, overly critical, or so unstructured that meaningful connection gets lost in the noise.

INC Writers was built to offer something different.

This community exists to support writers at every stage of the journey with encouragement, education, and a sense of creative momentum. Whether someone is drafting their first story, revising a manuscript, preparing for publication, or finding their way back to writing after time away, they deserve a space where they feel welcomed and supported.

At its core, INC Writers believes that writers grow best in environments that are:

  • Supportive without pressure
  • Structured without rigidity
  • Professional without gatekeeping
  • Community-oriented without overwhelm

The goal is not perfection. The goal is progress, consistency, and helping writers continue moving forward in ways that work for their lives and creative rhythms.

INC Writers is still growing, and that is part of the excitement. Every workshop, conversation, event, and connection helps shape the kind of creative community this organization hopes to become.

Writing may be a solitary craft, but no writer should have to build their creative life alone.
